I am proud to be the number 100.

Alessandra Tecla Gerevini è una mia amica.
Giovane fotografa. Brava, intimista, poetica, allegra.

English translation:

Alessandra Tecla Gerevini is a friend of mine.
Young photographer. Good, intimist, poetic and cheerful.
She fell in love with a guy who lives in the US. Luckily she wasn't given the visa, so she is forced to spend some time with us, here in Italy.
Among the thousand things she does, and among those she doesn't do, she has a blog where she presents the young Italian photography.
The interview she does to the authors is very much like her: a bit airy-fairy, but nice.
The blog is called Aurora photographers.
Tecla writes:

"There are photographers who capture the silence of a room, the loneliness of a street, the love for life in the eyes of a woman, the love for love between the folds of her naked body, the warmth of a smile in white walls streaked by a setting sun, the fear of being left alone in a quiet snow-covered field, they exorcise death by photographing their faces distorted. They talk about themselves but speak of all the others. For all others. In the eternal chase for time that runs away and leaves them aching, with the camera in their hands and a cracked heart."

She asked me to be the photographer #100 and I'm very proud of this.
I wanted to do something special.
I took my favorite fashion photos from the archive and I composed some diptychs with images taken from other projects: from my book "Tranfert" (Baldini & Castoldi, 2000), from "Simulacri", my exhibition at the Fondazione Fotografia of Modena (2009) and for the first time I tried to put them together.
