"Tema centrale del workshop di Thorimbert, è l’intensità del rapporto che lega fotografo e soggetto nella fotografia di ritratto.
Thorimbert ha dedicato la sua carriera professionale e la sua ricerca personale ed artistica a fotografare esseri umani - dalle modelle dei servizi di moda ai personaggi della cultura e dello spettacolo, dai protagonisti del mondo della musica alle persone comuni - ed ogni scatto è stato, prima ancora di trasformarsi in una fotografia, una vera e propria esperienza condivisa.
Il workshop offre l’occasione di sperimentare la fotografia di ritratto come esperienza relazionale spingendo i partecipanti a mettersi in gioco in prima persona.
La parte teorica – divisa tra un approfondimento del tema e la lettura dei portfolio – servirà ad introdurre la sessione pratica in cui i partecipanti realizzeranno fotografie di ritratto nello spazio di un set fotografico."

"The central theme of Thorimbert's workshop is the intensity of the relationship between photographer and subject in portrait photography.
Thorimbert has dedicated his professional career and his personal and artistic research to photograph human beings - from the models of fashion editorials to celebrities of culture and entertainment, from the protagonists of the world of music to ordinary people - and every shot, before turning into a photograph, was an out-and-out shared experience.
The workshop offers the opportunity to experience portrait photography as a relational experience, pushing the participants to get involved themselves.
The theoretical part - split between a discussion of the topic and the reading of portfolios - will serve to introduce the practical session, in which the participants will take portrait pictures within a photo set."
